Cost of counselling for individuals is $180 (or by arrangement) for a one-hour consultation. See below for details of rebates / funding assistance via Medicare, NDIS, TAC, VOCAT and private health funds. Cost of couples counselling is $220 for a 90 minute consultation. Cancellation Policy 24 hours notice is required for change or cancellation of appointment or full fee is payable. Rebates / Funding Assistance Medicare – Clients who have obtained a 'Mental Health Plan' from their doctor can claim $89.65 from Medicare once the full fee has been paid. NDIS – Counselling can be billed to the client's individual package. Fee is $170 per session. TAC – Payment by TAC requires referral by your doctor for counselling due to road related matter. VOCAT – Victims of Crime Tribunal pays for funding of counselling and reports to assist clients to recover from issues related to being a victim of crime under the Victorian scheme. Health Funds – Each health fund allows clients to obtain rebate for counselling services. Once fee is paid to psychologist, clients can claim rebate from their health fund. Check rebate schedules with your private health insurance fund. |
