SERVICES
CounsellingIndividual Counselling
Richard has more than thirty year's experience seeing individuals for counselling. Some people come for a specific purpose which may take 4−6 counselling sessions. Other people enter into longer term counselling dealing with a number of issues that are affecting their day-to-day life and also their interpersonal relationships. Issues include interpersonal relationships, grief, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, developmental delay, pain (both psychological and physical), family of origin conflicts and distress. Usually, forming a purpose is the focus of the first session, and a plan is developed to deal with the issue(s) involved. Couples Counselling
The purpose of couples counselling is to assist the individuals involved to deal with the conflicts, stress, hurts and communication breakdowns that keep the couple being very unhappy and in distress. Richard will create a structure that allows the partners to hear the other without being defensive. Usually, couples need to attend between 4−6 sessions. Others may need a longer period of couples counselling. The structured counselling environment allows both parties to work out their differences, and in some cases decide to separate. Some couples work through their conflicts and continue their relationship with purpose and direction. Appointments
Richard meets with clients by appointment in his Prahran consultation rooms. Consultations are also offered via Zoom, Skype and FaceTime. Appointments are available Tuesday to Friday. To make an appointment:
